We arrived late due to a snowstorm, but the staff welcomed us with a smile. The place has a beautiful historical vibe, and our room used to be a bank! Breakfast at the Fulling Station was very nice. Highly recommended!

This place was just a proper fit for a lightning trip in Seydisfjordur with good value. The staff went out of their way to help us figure out the best travel plans for the unpredictable weather. Make sure to check in at the other hotel to avoid confusion.

The location of Bankinn, Hotel By Aldan is stunning, set in a charming fishing town with gorgeous scenery. My room, a Double or Twin Room, had character with antique-style decor. The bed was cozy, and I enjoyed the view over the fjord. The restaurant offered delicious meals, particularly breakfast, which was a highlight. However, the noise levels were quite disruptive. I could hear footsteps and conversations from neighboring rooms, making it difficult to rest. The check-in process was smooth, but there were no tea and coffee facilities in the room, which I found disappointing. Overall, the hotel blends history with modern comforts, but noise and lack of amenities could use work.

We had a fantastic stay, especially enjoying the cozy quadruple room, which was well-suited for our kids, and the powerful shower that made for a refreshing experience. However, the bathroom was a bit on the small side, but that didn’t diminish our overall enjoyment. Would definitely come back again!
